A. About ZINY
What is ZINY?

ZINY is a habit-building and life-skills app for children that helps families turn everyday routines—like study, chores, sleep, hygiene, and kindness—into positive, rewarding habits. It is designed for children, guided by parents, and optionally supported by schools and child-development professionals.

Who is ZINY for?

ZINY is designed for:

  • Children aged 2–18
  • Parents and guardians
  • Schools, nurseries, and learning spaces
  • Child psychologists, pediatricians, and nutritionists (as a recommended support tool)
Is ZINY an educational or gaming app?

ZINY is not a game and not an academic learning app. It is a life-skills and habit-building platform that uses gentle gamification (coins, points, badges, streaks) to encourage consistency and motivation.

B. For Parents
How does ZINY help parents?

ZINY helps parents:

  • Reduce daily conflicts around routines
  • Replace nagging with positive reinforcement
  • Align parenting approaches between caregivers
  • Gain clarity on what habits are working and where support is needed
Do parents control the app?

Yes. Parents:

  • Create and assign habits
  • Approve task completion
  • Control rewards
  • Decide what data is visible and to whom
  • Manage privacy and notifications

Children cannot use ZINY independently without parental setup.

Does ZINY increase screen time?

No. ZINY is designed to reduce friction, not increase screen dependency.

  • Tasks are completed offline in the real world
  • The app is only used briefly to check goals and record progress
C. For Children
How do children use ZINY?

Children:

  • See their daily goals in a friendly, visual format
  • Mark goals/tasks as completed
  • Earn rewards/ZINY coins for effort and consistency
  • Track their own progress over time

The experience is age-appropriate, positive, and pressure-free.

Are rewards real money?

Rewards are:

  • Virtual coins, badges, and streaks
  • Parent-approved incentives

ZINY does not encourage monetary rewards or purchases directly by children. It only encourages parents to reward the improvement and consistency shown by the child in any form they wish. The value of incentive, coins, and redeem value is decided between parent and child and ZINY does not go into that.

D. Safety & Privacy
Is ZINY safe for children?

Yes. Child safety is a core principle at ZINY.

  • No ads targeted at children
  • No public child profiles
  • No third-party selling of data
  • Parent-controlled access at all times
What data does ZINY collect?

ZINY collects only the minimum data required to function:

  • Parent account details including name, city (location), and age
  • Child's age group (not exact identity unless provided by parent), name, city (location), age, and sex
  • Goals/Habit completion data

ZINY does not sell or misuse personal data. For more details, please review our Privacy Policy.

E. Schools & Professionals
Can schools use ZINY?

Yes. Schools and nurseries can use ZINY as a life-skills and values reinforcement tool, either through:

  • Parent-led adoption
  • School-recommended programs
  • CSR-supported deployments

All school insights are aggregated and privacy-respecting.

Can doctors or psychologists recommend ZINY?

Yes. Pediatricians, child psychologists, and nutritionists can recommend ZINY as a support tool to reinforce routines and healthy habits at home. ZINY does not replace professional advice.
